'TIME' is the biggest constraint in the life of an Aspiring Music Producer

Its easy to say the word "Time management" but in reality its very difficult to hold onto this term. There’s a lot of time in a day and a reason to accept the truth that every second counts indeed. Then what is the importance of time management for music production? Its a big deal. Make your own timetable or schedule and try your best to stick with it. You have to be obedient towards your mind if you really want to produce music. Don't try to come up with excuses for yourself. If you are able to arrange only an hour for yourself that also not bad. Write down at the end of each day, what you have done today, and what should be the next? This is also a good way to check how effectively you are managing your time for your music production apart from side disturbances.

For some people music may be just a hobby for some it may be a career or for some lucky ones may be both hubby and career. Some people swear to live by music. They claim they don't want anything else in their life. Only music is everything for them and they give their all time to it. But the fact is not everyone has the freedom of spending more than little hours per day for producing music. Having these obligations one would like to tend towards day jobs. If you are in the beginning of your music career you have to be active in a day job to meet your essential needs. The effectiveness of managing the schedule of day job and your music production session is not quite easy for some people. Have a look at the following points....might be useful.

Be on Music: Not necessarily in real life scenes, but during music making sessions. If you have more members in your family makes sure they have been informed about your music production and you don't want to be frustrated. If you are in a collaboration with a friend of a music buddy make sure your topic of discussion should not be diverted to any other field except music. Share creative ideas while making music and sometimes you both can put criticisms in while working on a track. Its for sure you will learn a lot by working with your fellow artists.

Concentration is Key: The rise of social media may be the biggest cause for low level of concentration. Facebook, twitter, Instagram, snapchat are websites which can help you socially to your career so that you could kick start your music career, but will create disturbances for you when it comes to money making. If you really want to produce more music, then just get away from these sites. Specially if you are having your own laptop make sure you are using it only for your music making. Apart from social media websites some also receive irrelevant emails and messages. Keep your mobile on silent mode. Only respond to your critical calls specially from loved/dear ones, when there is a need of your response.

Always feel energetic: Never ever feel bored. If you feel boredom is approaching you then get engaged with music Making. If you get engaged with something you love, you will never feel bored of yourself. Learn every day, while practicing. Being able to be constantly supportive to self learning is a big quality of an artist. Always feel inspired and never stop learning. Have free time, then be more with music. Use your free time to learn things.

One job at one time: Working on many projects at one time leads to a whole of incomplete songs. I know that excitement that comes when you are working on one song and suddenly a new idea comes to your mind and that idea is completely different from the one you are working but you still feel that urge to work on that new idea of creativity. The best way to control that excitement is to write down that idea on a notebook. You should never let that idea go away. The creativity is not a bad thing and make sure that idea applies somewhere in your next project. The key is to finish what you have started first, if you in middle start thinking about that creativity idea then you will be in nowhere. Neither you can complete the first nor can think about the next. Working on one stuff at one time means creating more meaningful music at an averagely good time.

Be thankful for own effort: Always thank yourself after you finish a project within the time you allowed for yourself for a particular task. Do whatever you feel good to raise your confidence. The key here is to increase the happiness for your effort towards the task. Keep in mind time is relevant. It can fly or crawl. It all depends on you how you spend it. Treat music making more than just a hobby. But do have fun with this practice while making it. Its for sure when you love what you are doing, you can always find time for it. If you don't love then excuses are already settled in your brain to come up with.

Stick to your love: Always be tested with assumptions by yourself, why?.....Music is your life, your music expresses things for you that words cannot. Music is a pull towards your inner self. Sometimes you may feel frustrated because of your official job. The reason may be due to high workload, or things are not working in your favour. Your boss may be unhappy with your effort. And at the end of the day, when you enter to the music studio for production you feel meaningless. Even if you attempt to create it all goes down to the failure and you think of yourself out of frustration why this thing(what you are working on) is not happening. But you are unable to analyze it because your brain is already frustrated by your day activities and you are putting on those frustrations on your music production. The frustrations are going nowhere, its just doubling it's impact on you, making you more weaker mentally. And the negative things like i shouldn't choose music for my life, its too heavy for me, i am not compatible with it, its better for me to give up on it, approach your mind. It only takes your passion and determination to call upon your success. First try to deal with that frustration. Thing like this, you have to do that task(which is troublesome according to you) for your music. I hope you will find a way to deal with that problem.

To have Record Label as a Supporter is very good, but its neither easy nor difficult

If you aim to be an artist as a label chaser,to get a record deal in order to get success in this industry, then the door of failure may approach you soon. You may be in a move to make a career like this but the chances of moneymaking directly from the deal is almost nothing. Record companies are looking for those artists who have developed themselves upto a certain level. The record label wants to make sure that before getting into the market place, artist should have established his unique sound and image that represent who he/she is. The owner of the record label is generally an experienced music producer and so with a team of his music industry professionals working on your behalf to make you better day by day.

Having good quality music and great recordings is also an important thing for a label. It shows you care about your music and you know what to produce. You have to produce tracks consistently on a good note and it makes you an attractive prospect for a record label.

Record labels are just like banks that lend money to people (artists) for their growth as an artist. Record companies generally look for 3 things in an artist.
A. How much value u do have now as an artist
B. How much risky it would be to invest in you
C. How much to expect in return of their investment.

With the advancements of digital streaming platforms, labels may also check how many plays/download your tracks have got. How many followers you have on the social networking sites. These all counts in marketing your name. If your music doesn't have many plays then they may think 10 times before taking you to the label as it will be risky to their business because streaming and followers are a great way to check the quality of investment to be put in for you by those labels.

If you have followers on social sites then you must be interacting with some of them. Some of them may develop a real connection professionally with you. They may invite you to playout a gig at their venue. Record labels also want to see how many shows you are playing, your locations of performance, how many people are coming out to your shows, the level of energy in your shows...these things proves that you have got the work ethic to make it count for your career and you are making good money out of your shows.

When it comes to promotion record labels treat differently to new artists as compared to established ones. At the beginning of the career of an artist, there are free downloads available and more other stuffs are freely available, sharing it widely. As the same artist becomes established suddenly the public content gets restricted and free downloads just flashes away. Their way of approaching is easy...
A- when the artist is unknown publish the content(Music, merchandise, more free tickets for the show) widely by making it free, for the easy engagement of people.
B- When you are a known brand, ask for more support from the people. The content is paid version.

There are artists who reach the mass audience on their own ability and then choose a record label. There are also artists those labels bring them upfront for the global phenomenon, helping them to reach the mass audience. It’s about human psychology and working it to your advantage. Whatever method you use for yourself, it’s about recognition. It’s a real competition and having good mindset with an upbeating attitude you will eventually be big on behalf of your good quality products.

If you have a bad attitude towards music then chances of selection for a record label is very slim even if you have great talent. Record labels want to make sure that they have the best candidate that fits to their company and mission. Otherwise it won't be much worthy in the long run.
To create your own brand by marketing your music is key in today's music world. You have to be established on yourself first for a record label to consider you. How you present yourself while you are doing self marketing is also essential. Record labels want to see that you are more than just an artist. They should get this taste of thought that you can be a potential brand in the future and people will worth your quality if we (record label) invest in you. Your physical appearance, the way you act, the way your music sounds, what you stand for; these all are important. Be the follower of advanced generation, and be modern, something that people can relate to. Have a great online presence, be on every social platform, interact with your followers, be attentive to their sayings. It’s not like you should do whatever your followers will say, but at least be careful about their thoughts towards your business.

Being Professional is important

There is no doubt music is a fun thing to watch/play.But for some people music is work. Music supports their livelihood, food, bills etc.. For the individuals who work on the music industry whether as a stage performer, music teacher, journalists, marketers, its essential to maintain a high level of professionalism. Music is always taken as one step ahead of entertainment. The level of hard work needed to succeed in this industry is often not apparent to the view of outsiders, leads to an inaccurate view of the discipline involved to be successful in this competitive industry. There are many people who have always been excited to have a career in music and when it comes to determination they fail to equip with the hard work and give up sooner or later. That's what i call 'A Glamour Of Lust'.

A lot of people forget the very basic thing that being a musician is a job like all others. Those who treat the job seem like a joke are not good at their own job. The reason behind saying this is...there are people who don't take it seriously enough and misrepresent the image of this industry. Whatever career you pursue in your life, staying professional is very important. The choice of making a career in music is completely yours. Its your life. In order for music to be your job you need to make it into a job for yourself. There are many musicians who are very irresponsible when it comes to music, public appearance, and business Plan. Sometimes When it comes to social interaction professionalism lacks and they think it's all about to play music and don't care about anything else and magic will happen after a long time i.e. Stage performance. Its not something that will be boosting to your career.
Not been comfortable with live shows, mediocre live performing skills....this is where an artist will be judged to the extent of his survival in music career. Many artists those who are good in music but when it comes to live shows, they lack skills or some don't keen about learning it. This is a big reason why talented artists don't get into big stages. Their music sounds great but a live show is something greater than the music. Your enthusiasm, social networking, your professionalism in your thoughts all counts a lot. If people only wanted to hear your music they would've listened to in their home. Both people as well as record labels want to see a real show. Neglecting this area would cause the musician to become quickly forgotten.

Its an essential fact that it takes money to build a musical career. It takes a lot of time to get to your first live show. You have to go through the vigorous production session, have to promote yourself, developing contact with artists etc... So definitely money is what you need. Even if you are signed by a record label and they are paying for your tourings, recordings, merchandise you still have to find the freedom of opportunities to pursue coming in the way. Because record labels prefer those guys who have got some experience of playing live shows and they want a practical acceptance of it.

Dont be an artist who just packs up the things and leaves the stage after the set is done. Its not like your school homework. Interact with others, develop potential connections and be friendly to others. You have to sound like a professional artist. Be open to people and be more responsive to their sayings, and they will feel more comfortable in interacting with you. Be nice and humble. Have an open thought, use professional language. Treat every interaction like a business incident. You have to treat it seriously otherwise it will collapse right from the beginning and your career will move nowhere. Don't be strict, don't be lousy towards people's interaction, not even corporate style. Just be professional about your art and social networking. You will never be out of range from your friends(people and fellow artists).

There is an old saying- its not who you know, its about who know you. This is what exactly works in the music industry. The most important key to build career in this industry is how deep your current relationship with your people and how it will grow in the future. You just don't want to have a simple interaction, you have to develop a real deep connection with them. And it is only possible if they know you on a comfortable level. By doing this you will always be on top of their mind.

Playing music for fun is great for self satisfaction but to think of it as a funny stuff while moving professionally is a wrong choice. You will lack the required level of passion in this line because you are unable to realize the level of hard work needed for it. Music industry is just like any other competitive industry. The level of work load has led many people down the wrong paths and some people carried over to the glamour line which is attached to the music industry. One of the best ways to demonstrate your professionalism is how you communicate with other artists in the industry. Whether you are a musician, a record label manager, or seeking help from another label, being professional matters a lot. The people you want to talk to(your favorite artists) and the people who guarantee your career(your fans and fellow artists) are industry professionals and you should strive to be the same.

Rave- Be A Flyer Of Yourself

Raves are large dance parties featuring performances
by Djs and occasionally live performers playing
dance music. In a rave each person brings something
new, and it's the combination of all the uniqueness
that make raving an incredible experience. Be the
person you want to be and not what others expect you to be. The experience of taking part in raving is
highly sensitive. The loudness, repetitiveness of music can be physically stimulating. The effects of drugs are the common elements of raving. There are also club events which are famous for the above elements but not as sensitive as rave. The point is to dance here on a non-stop mood, until you loose control. Here many person may get the rave equals to clubbing. But there are differences to it. You don't get the same level of energy in club while you are in rave. Also some of you may not adjust with the rave culture but seemed to be fit with clubbing. Rave costumes are not also often in clubbing. Raving is more an intimate environment than clubbing.
Rave is a family and will accept you no matter how you choose to look. Its a place where your investment never goes wrong and you will be taking away all from the experience whatever you put in. Go inside without any
expectation and leave out with only best memories.
Try new nights but most most importantly by yourself.
If you want to try out new things with other person,
first seek the permission. Its not good to beg for
forgiveness in the later stage.

Underground rave parties used to be held at secret secluded areas from midnight to till the sun rises. These parties are no longer in abandoned buildings. With no signs of decor the raves today feature everything from food vendors to art designers and other activities for attendees. Because of the danger of these unregulated events, event promoters have changed their tactics and now throwing raves at various locations in accordance with city regulations. They can range from small events with one stage in a warehouse to many stage events at a larger venue or even multi stage festival in the middle of the desert.

Raving has always been an escape from reality. Its a
reason to be open to choices or an expressiveness attitude to be little bad/weird. As the popularity of dance music continues to rise, so does the number new-comers to the community. Its something that has been showing true interest for any music culture, specially in dance music scenes. Since Rave is about an open minded thought and willingness to accept at the cost of anything ravers don't blame for wanting to be parted out of the culture. Raving community is all about people for who they are and how incredibly people are accepting each other. The moment you step into the rave, step aside of your routine bounds like worries, troubles, fear, anxiety etc.... Just let yourself feel that you are there for the purpose of having fun, and it's a shared connection between people out there which brings them together. That why we have the term "Rave family" so many times. Raving truly brings people together under one floor and creates a space where people feel safe. Total strangers became friends, everyone is friendly to each other. Its the feeling that allows people to feel free and express themselves in as many ways as they want.

On the other hand Rave music can also be termed as a celebration of electronic generation because of it's liberation. It can also be assumed as a relationship between human and machine. By taking sounds from life and distorting them with modern technology rave can express a very source of partying. Its important to understand that not try to judge any other person out there in the rave. Every person is out there for his/her own way of celebration of expression. So just be yourself and let it be a sense of spirit for you also. You'll be accepted for who you are. So what makes out rave culture so strong??? There is a sense of peace and love. Unity is all about a raving family and responsibility comes with unity. Respect is almost
necessary in every activity. So I think Respect is probably the
most important to this rave community. Respect means
accepting the fact that we all are entitled to our opinions or form of
expression and more importantly we all are human regardless of
race, religion or sexual orientation. Its essential not to respect
others bur to respect yourself as well. You are open and free
to your opinions and beliefs and we encourage you
to stay honest to them. Remember one thing, drugs don't
make the rave, the people do. Don't ever feel like you
need something to have a good time.

You are for yourself out there. Respect is also an equal consent to it. For anyone new to the rave it's a bit of shock to see someone at an event dressed in an unorthodox style. But that's about a rave. You can wear whatever you want. Be fancy, be bold whatever you like. Do that. Be open minded and respect the fact that the person's decision to dress on a certain way shouldn't affect your consent. Its all about self love and happiness. As a community, ravers are naturally friendly, and open to talk to strangers, but don't mistake it for something more than it may be. Ravers stand strongly to one's consent and they believe it creates a safe space for everyone to enjoy.

Silent Disco- A Way Of Silence To Celebrate Parties

A new musical madness is taking the
dance floor by storm. Its Silent Disco.
You are with hundreds of other partygoers. everyone is bobbing their heads, waving their arms and whirling their bodies to the beat. A Dj in the centre is throwing beats with a laptop setup. Whether it's late night or early morning the energy is high and there's no sign of stopping. If you've ever been to a club or a festival before, this is very familiar to you. But there's a twist....there's no sound to be heard in the room openly except only the shuffling of feet of partygoers.

Silent disco is a unique way of experiencing live festival. Whether it's a Dj or a live band, the attendees wear wireless headphones and a silent atmosphere quickly transforms into a high energetic performance quietly. Its actually an event where people dance to the music listened on headphones rather than using a speaker system.
Starting from the festive scenes a Dj or an artist normally used to play his favorite songs in a club/festival. Having speakers on both sides of the corner of stage or a dj booth, the sound can reach to the mass audience, out their for their living pleasure. Its not like that the whole audience have always been entertained by the songs an artist would play during his time. Sometimes they don't get the right level of excitement from that particular scene lading them off to land in the boring side. The development of silent disco has brought about a high level of charge in it.

Depending upon the number of channels
(Number of Artists in the venue) every person should have a wireless headphone while entering the console. The channel generally consists between 1 to 3 artists. These wireless headphones generally loaded up with automatic light system, which are fixed in accordance with the sets that a Dj/Artist would play. So if there is only one Dj, such as (Dj A) whose music is denoted by blue colour...as soon as the Dj starts his set the colour will be spotted and one can easily identify how many person from the crowd are enjoying the music of Dj A. As all the listeners who are listening to DJ A their headphones will show the blue colour. The signal is generally broadcasted via a radio transmitter to headphones worn by the people out there.

Suppose there are 3 Djs such as DJ A, DJ B, DJ C and is respectively denoted by blue, green and red colour. you are listening to the songs of Dj A since 1hour and now you are feeling bored of his music. But there is nothing to worry about. You can also change the channel according to your choice through your headphone. You can change your channels frequently as per your pleasure. Also this kind of party gives you an enhancive way to enjoy the quality stereo sound, which is not often in live shows. It also helps the Dj /artists to understand the crowd's response to a particular track. Harder the sound, higher will be pleasure.

Also in some areas like in and around hospitals, temples you can't play heavily all night long and in some cases club/bars have to turn down the music at night. Not all the venues have the correct licenses to broadcast loud music. Silent Disco comes handy in these cases. Suppose you are staying near a hospital and you are in a mood to organize a party in your locality. So the chances to have loud music seems very bleak here. Silent disco much more useful here. Just get engaged with your headphone. You can party all night long through this system. Also a misconception about silent disco is they are unsociable, which is not true. There's no need to leave the party for a quite and peaceful conversation. Simply remove your headphone and chat straight away with your dear ones. There's no need to waste energy shouting over music any more because the silence is crystal. The biggest thing about silent disco is it can take place virtually everywhere. There is no noise pollution as no live music is being transmitted through speakers. Silent discos can be held at any hotel, restaurant, gardens, private party etc anywhere.

Festivalgoers.......An Impact

Music festival is a site of interaction between hundreds or even thousands of people. People travel thousands of miles and investing huge amount of time, money and energy to attend them. Music festival fans know music festivals are intense. All the festivalgoers crowded, chaotic and more often than not mentally and physically exhausting, willfully inserting themselves into a crowd of tens or even thousands with a little bravery, patience, gentle trust in other people and an openness, a willingness to go with the flow. The afterglow effect of music festival experience can last for weeks moths or even years. The festivalgoers know the energy of a great music festival. Its the life affirming positive groovy vibes when thousands of people come together under one floor to make it one culture...something vest best at their own identity.

Contrary to the popularity edm does not refer to a specific genre. The message peace, love, unity, and respect is what defines edm as a culture. For those involved in the edm, peace means an inner peace or a feeling of comfort of yourself as an individual. Many people who attend edm events are
looking for an escape
from their daily lives. Edm's
popularity has created a ton
of successful festivals. The
major festivals like
Tomorrowland, ultra, sunburn, EDC... etc are built on high production values to create an atmosphere that is musically and visually stimulating. The repetitive nature of the beat, the sudden beat drop have made us experience music like never before

At festivals its not just the music but another level of energy which we don’t see at a nightclub. Anyone can play anyone’s set at any given time. Headhunterz can play Hardwell’s set, Calvin Harris can play Diplo’s set. This community envisions a world where people don’t just absorb the modern culture, they contribute to it. Most of the time the track lacks vocal which helps some persons not to be guided by the thoughts of the lyrics and also at the same time the beauty of edm just unlocks another dimension of freedom of enjoying music. The music festival allows people to dress up in their own costumes and let their inner freak high. These festivals encourage you to be yourself and not to be ashamed of whom...what we call self love. Who are a part of edm culture try to spread the idea that we all are united as human beings.. Respect for the environment and the culture itself ties together everything. The momentum that the electronic dance music (EDM) scene has gained due to the convergence of pop acts from artists like Calvin Harris, Dua lipa with edm has opened up to a host of new listeners. This has propelled edm to be one of the biggest benevolent movement Of music industry.
From the industry perspective in the age of infinitely shareable and reproducible digital music, music festivals provide promoters, sponsors to help the artists with a definite and irreproducible technique to sell out shows and to increase the monetary worth of record labels. The music industry is struggling to adjust to the changes brought by streaming services and the democratization of access to music. For the prmoter audience is the end user and comprises the body of the major investment in an event. Aside from the financial possessions and sponsorships, much of the success of a festival is judged on the basis of audience's experience.
A positive activity engaged will result into a positive festival experience and sale of more tickets in the future and most importantly it leads to self promotion to ensure the longevity of a festival. Even after the festival ended itself the experience lives on the mind of the festivalgoers.
Bestival is a four day music festival held in the south of England

A music festival often stays a much longer period of time than the date of the event itself. Given the long periods of anticipation and planning formed to attend them and a reflective approach to have further enchantment....an active
festivalgoer feels connected and supported by a community of likeminded people and is actively engaged with music and to social network. Both the music festival industry and communities that host events will benefit from a better understanding of a value and complexity of audience experience. The increasing demand for festivals and their social recognition value will  always call for further exploration and better music festival experience.

Edm is solely about you. You are the driver of your lifestyle and you control the next movement of your thoughts. Its all about you and your life. The environment for today's edm fans is vastly different from that of 10 years ago. This music also has a tension and the release point of beats in a tenacious sequence is extremely appealing causes bringing people together.
